The Fifty and Fit Mission Statement
designed by experience and proven by practice
We help the "baby boomers" improve their overall health and fitness through motivation, education, nutrition, exercise, personal training and fitness counseling, with a goal of exemplary physical independence as we age toward our "golden years". (Also for the Forty and Fit)
Beginning as early as our 40's our lean muscle starts to decrease and our metabolism slows. Resulting in wieght gain that can contribute to many of the following issues. |

Back ache comes from poor posture, weight gain, and under-developed muscles. As we age, we are less able to bounce back from these bad habits. With proper nutrition, strength and resistance training in The Fifty and Fit program, these issues can be reduced, and in many cases, eliminated. |

Poor nutrition leads to poor health at any age, but in your 50s, you run a much greater risk of heart attack, diabetes, and other dangerous conditions. The Fifty and Fit nutrition program can reduce, reverse and eliminate many of these risks.

Menopause issues? Menopausal symptoms affect about 70% of women approaching menopause. Its symptoms usually last until the mid 50s, but some women may experience them for the rest of their lives.
Among the most common symptoms is weight gain. As you age, your body requires less energy because of a decline in physical activity and a loss of lean body mass. Raising your activity level will increase your need for energy and help you avoid gaining weight. The Fifty and Fit program targets reclaiming lean muscle mass. This will help reduce Menopausal weight gain. |

Muscle loss can make you look and feel older than your years. You do not have to live with sagging muscles, no matter what your age! The Fifty and Fit strength and resistance program can tone and rebuild muscle at any age or stage of life.

Strength loss happens even to those who have always been active. With age-appropriate strength and resistance training, within The Fifty and Fit program, we can reverse the downward strength loss trend.

We offer a customized 12-week program that will help you get back on the track of a healthy, examplarly quality of life. We will assess your health; develop a customized nutrition and exercise program that targets your issues; and give you full access to the Rochester Athletic Club and all of its services.
